Refund Policy

Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause, by providing written notice to the other party. Upon termination, we will instruct all of our contractors (such as Amazon, Google, and Apple) to halt the production, sale, and distribution of new copies of the Work. Please note that we cannot control the actions or timing of our contractors’ compliance with our request. Even after the cessation of sales by contractors, online advertisements, listings, previews, and excerpts may persist indefinitely. However, this does not imply authorization for the completion of new sales. We shall not be liable to you for any copyright infringement or any other claims arising from the failure of a retailer or contractor to cease the production, sale, or distribution of the Work, or to remove advertisements, listings, excerpts, or previews of the Work after termination of this Agreement, provided that we have duly notified the relevant contractor of the requested change. You shall remain liable for payment of any outstanding balance to us, subject to the following refund provisions:

For Publishing Packages:

• Prior to submission of your Manuscript:
  • Within 0-30 calendar days after purchase: 100% refund of the purchase price, less $150 or 10% of the purchase price, whichever is greater.
  • More than 30 calendar days after purchase: No refund.

• After submission of your Manuscript but before final approval, if the refund is not due to failure to comply with our Content Guidelines:
  • After submission but before design work begins: 50% refund of the purchase price.
  • After design work begins but before final approval: 25% refund of the purchase price.

• After you have given final approval of the Work: No refund.

Note: Submission of your Manuscript occurs when you first deliver any text or images intended for publication to us.

For individual Services (not included as part of a Publishing Package):

• Prior to the commencement of individual Service(s):
  • Within 0-30 calendar days after purchase: 100% refund of the purchase price, less $150 or 10% of the purchase price, whichever is greater.
  • More than 30 calendar days after purchase: No refund.

• After commencement of individual Service(s): No refund.

Note: Fulfillment of a Service occurs either when you return the client questionnaire, whether fully or partially completed, or when we or a contractor commence work on the Service, whichever occurs first. If we terminate the Agreement without Cause before fulfilling the Publishing Services and Marketing Services, we will refund 100% of the purchase price. “Cause” means:

(a) You engage in abusive or uncivil behavior towards us or our contractors;

(b) Your Manuscript or Work fails to comply with the Content Guidelines or applicable laws at any time; or

(c) We receive a formal or informal allegation, complaint, demand, or action (as defined in Section 7) from a third party relating to you, your Work, or your royalties.

Refund requests will not be entertained once the client signs the agreement form, as the content approval form cannot be revised after submission to us. However, the client may request a refund if services have not been fulfilled.

If we terminate this Agreement due to non-compliance with our Content Guidelines, we will refund 100% of the purchase price, less a Content Evaluation processing fee of $400.

If, after termination of this Agreement, you request an electronic file(s) of the Work, we will provide the PDF file(s) within 30 days, with our proprietary information removed.
