Editorial Assessment
Our Editorial Assessment analyzes different portions of your manuscript to determine what kind or amount of editing would best help it come together. A section of your work will be edited as part of the procedure (usually the first chapter, or roughly 1,700 words), in order to provide you a sample. We will provide you with a broad evaluation of your manuscript along with suggestions for its improvement.
The Editorial Assessment should take three weeks to complete. A line editor, content editor, or developmental editor may be suggested by the editorial evaluator depending on the outcomes. If you decide to purchase the editing service that is suggested for your manuscript, we will assign a professional editor to work on your book. This editor will go through a comprehensive editing process and resolve any concerns that were brought up during the editorial assessment. You can choose to alter your own work or implement the suggested modifications on your own.
Note:
The Editorial Assessment is a preliminary diagnostic procedure that identifies the parts of your manuscript that require work, not a replacement for our editorial services.
With the help of our editorial assessment service, we can evaluate your manuscript and determine what kind or degree of editing it would require. Depending on our backlog of work and the complexity of your assignment, the normal turnaround time for this service is three weeks.
